Cultureel Centrum ’t Fijnhout
In 1899 is ’t Fijnhout gebouwd als houtzagerij (zie Historie). In de loop der jaren hebben verschillende partijen hier kantoor gehouden.
Op dit moment is het een culturele en creatieve hotspot. Op de begane grond is het cultureel centrum, bestaande uit verschillende ruimtes.
Op de bovenverdiepingen houden verschillende creatieve bedrijfjes kantoor.
Spiegelzaal
De ruime, hoge, lichte zaal voelt aan als een prettige, informele ruimte. Van lecture tot yoga-les, van kindertheater tot feestje; de spiegelzaal leent zich voor van alles. Aan de Lootsstraat zijde is de zaal bekleed met spiegels, met daarboven drie grote ramen. De Spiegelzaal deelt een wand met de Lobby en is daar met grote openslaande deuren mee verbonden. De vierde muur leent zich perfect om op te projecteren of voor een wat theatraler gevoel hebben wij een 6 meter lang gordijn wat opgehangen kan worden.
Lobby
Deze langwerpige ruimte met haar hoge witte muren en donker houten vloer heeft een ingang aan de Lootsstraat en is via een gang verbonden met de ingang aan de Jacob van Lennepkade. Boven de deur bevinden zich grote ramen die daglicht binnen laten. Daarnaast is er aan de ene zijde een deur naar de rookruimte en aan de andere zijde een deur die de Lobby met de Spiegelzaal verbindt. Ook kunt u via de deur naar de gang makkelijk naar de Theaterzaal. In de gang bevinden zich toiletten, waaronder een invalide toilet.
De ruimte is groot genoeg voor zo’n 150 man en kan gebruikt worden voor veel verschillende doeleindes, zoals exposities, verjaardagen of workshops. In de ruimte hebben we ook een gezellige Bar beschikbaar!
Theaterzaal
Deze flexibele ruimte is prachtig voor allerlei activiteiten, film projecties, presentaties, voorstellingen of danslessen. Aan de ene zijde staat er een tribune waar zo’n 60 man op past. De ruimte kan makkelijk verandert worden tot een sfeervol theater doordat de witte hoge muren kunnen worden bedekt met zwarte gordijnen die op een rails zitten. In de theaterzaal bevindt zich een hok direct boven de ingang vanuit waar het licht en het geluid geregeld kunnen worden. Hier staat ook een dimsysteem waarmee u de spots die in de zaal hangen kunt reguleren.
Rookruimte
Tegenover de Spiegelruimte, aan de andere kant van de Lobby hebben wij een rookruimte met ventilatie systeem. Via een tussenkamer komt u de ruimte binnen waar aan de ene kant een deur zit naar de Lootsstraat en aan de andere kant een muur met grote ramen erin. Hier kunt u tijdens een evenement wanneer het regent, wanneer het koud is of wanneer het later op de avond is (fijn voor onze buren!) terecht voor een sigaret. Daarnaast zijn deze beide ruimtes ook uiterst geschikt tijdens exposities!
Kantoorruimtes
Boven de Bar in de Lobby hebben wij twee ruimtes waar we plek voor bureauplekken hebben. Heeft u interesse? Neem contact met ons op!
Dakterras
Boven op de derde verdieping van ’t Fijnhout naast de oude schoorsteen bevindt zich een gemeubileerd dakterras. Hier kunt u omringd door bamboo vergaderen of proosten op uw verjaardag!
Fotostudio
Achter de bar en de spiegelzaal bevindt zich sinds kort onze fotostudio! Zeer geschikt voor portret, product en mode fotografie. Onze fijne fotostudio is af te huren per uur, per dagdeel of per dag. Er zijn drie achtergrond rollen van 2,75 meter breed aanwezig in het wit, zwart en groen, en twee studio lampen. De ruimte is overwegend licht door de hoge ramen, maar kan verduisterd worden door luxaflex.
De ruimte is 6 meter hoog, 4 meter breed en 6 meter diep.

Cultureel Centrum ’t Fijnhout
In 1899, ’t Fijnhout was built as a wood sawmill (see Historie). Over the years, several companies were located at ’t Fijnhout. At present ’t Fijnhout it is a cultural and creative hotspot.
On the ground floor is the cultural center, consisting of several spaces. Various creative companies are located on the upper floors of ’t Fijnhout.
The Mirror Room
The spacious, high and bright room feels like pleasant and informal space. From lectures to yoga-classes, kids theater to parties; the Mirror Room is suitable for everything. On the Lootsstraat side, a big mirror covers the entire wall and above it are three large windows. The Mirror Room shares one wall with the Lobby and is connected to it with big, open swinging doors. The fourth wall can be used for projections, and for a more theatrical feeling, a six meter long red curtain can be installed.
The Lobby
This long room with its high white walls and dark wooden floor, has its entrance at the Lootsstraat and is connected to the entrance at the Jacob van Lennepkade via the hallway. Above the entrance door there are big windows which let daylight into the space. Next to that, you will find the door to our smoking room on one side of the Lobby and a connecting door to the Mirror Room on the other side. Moreover it is possible to access the Theatre Room via the hallway, in which the toilets are located, of which one is a disabled toilet. The room is big enough for around 150 people and can be used for several purposes, such as exhibitions, birthdays or workshops. In this space you will also find our cozy bar.
The Theatre Room
This flexible space is great for all sorts of activities, film projections, presentations, performances or dance classes. On one side of the room you will find a tribune which can hold around 60 people. The room can be easily transformed into an atmospheric theatre by covering the high white walls with black curtains on rails. Right above the entrance to the Theatre Room there is a booth from which light and sound controlled. This is also where you find a dimming-system with which the spots, hanging in the space, can be regulated.
The Smoking Room
Opposite of the Mirror Room, on the other side of the Lobby we have a smoking room with a ventilation system. Passing through a small room you enter the Smoking Room, which has a door to the Lootsstraat on one side and on the other a wall with large windows. Here you can have a cigarette when it is raining, when it is cold outside or when it is a late event (happy neighbours!). Also, both spaces are good to use during an exhibition!

The Roof Terrace
Up on the third floor of ’t Fijnhout next to the old chimney we have a beautifully furnished roof terrace. Here you can have a meeting or cheers for your birthday surrounded by bamboo!
Photo Studio
Behind the Bar and the Mirror Room we just started our Photo Studio. It is very suited for portrait, product and fashion photography. We rent our cozy photo studio per hour, per half day or a full day. There are three backdrop rolls of 2,75 meter a piece in white, black and green, and two studio lamps. The studio is mostly light because of the high windows, but is easily made dark by the blinds.
The space is 6 meters high, 4 meters wide and 6 meters deep.
